The Rub - Hen Quarter | Alexandria, VA

Brr it's cold outside! Which means that parking is easier and no waiting at some local spots on a Saturday Night! We ventured out to a yummy spot this week. No spots at the The Rub bar so they offered us a seat upstairs at Hen Quarters. Well worth it! Expanded menu and the drinks came upstairs to us all the same!

We shared a quarter chicken and waffles which was juicy and tender. We also indulged in an appetizer of chicken cracklings drizzled with honey!

Our drinks were strong but a great variation and a favorite of mine- Brown Sugar Amaretto Sour and Old Fashioned! I meant to get desert but was distracted by the people watching on the street below. Yeah I saw you back into that car from up here! Oops for you! Hopefully no damage!
